Market Finance Lead

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Louisiana.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team that assesses the financial performance, membership, cost and utilization trends, contractual outcomes, and areas for improvement for value-based providers.

• Facilitate financial preparations for provider engagement meetings prior to joint operating committee sessions.

• Provide guidance to the Network Performance team regarding contract performance and avenues for enhancement.

• Conduct analysis and reporting on the performance of value-based providers and contracts.

• Evaluate financial results, utilization data, claims experiences, membership statistics, operational trends, risk adjustment impacts, medical cost determinants, and provider contract performance.

• Enhance Medicare Advantage performance through data analytics and collaborative efforts across functions.

• Assist in regional bid strategies, product positioning, and competitive analysis.

• Collaborate with Corporate Finance on monthly accruals for value-based providers and the financial closing process.

• Build cross-functional relationships to ensure accurate and effective delivery of ongoing and project-based initiatives.

• Act as a strategic finance partner to regional leadership.

• Utilize independent judgment to resolve complex financial and operational challenges with minimal oversight.

• Develop relationships with internal stakeholders and external provider partners.

• Monitor company initiatives and evaluate their financial and operational effects across the market.

• Occasionally travel to Humana offices for training or meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree.

• A minimum of 3 years of experience with Value Based Contracts (VBC) and/or Value Based Providers (VBP).

• At least 3 years of experience in financial analysis and reporting.

• Proven experience in presenting to and advising senior leadership on financial strategies.

• Understanding of complex accounting and financial transactions for both internal and external reporting.

• Demonstrated capability in leading and managing special projects that necessitate cross-functional collaboration.

• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including the use of formulas, pivot tables, and charts.

• Proficient in PowerPoint, SQL, and PowerBI.

• Willingness and ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

• Preferred: Master's Degree in Business Administration or a related field.

• Preferred: Certified Public Accountant (CPA).

• Preferred: Experience in people management and leadership.

• Preferred: Familiarity with Service Fund reporting.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Microsoft PowerQuery.

• Preferred: Experience with Power Automate.

• Preferred: Knowledge of Hyperion Essbase.

• Preferred: Experience with the Medicare Advantage bid process, including financial projections, product design, and competitive analysis.

• Access to home internet service with a minimum of 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speed.
