Mapudungun Language Specialist – Freelance AI Trainer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Chile.

📋 Description

• Engage in conversations with the model in Mapudungun covering a diverse array of topics.

• Ensure linguistic precision and cultural significance.

• Record reproducible error traces.

• Propose enhancements to prompt engineering and evaluation criteria.

• Test advanced language models on contextual understanding, tone and meaning, dialectical variations, semantic correctness, and cultural subtleties.

• Document instances of model failures to enhance model reasoning.

⛳️ Requirements

• Specialist in the Mapudungun language with a deep understanding of regional dialects, phonetics, syntax, idiomatic phrases, oral traditions, and cultural references.

• Capability to assess contextual interpretation, tone and meaning, dialectical variations, semantic correctness, and cultural subtleties.

• Proficient in documenting reproducible error traces and instances of model failures.

• Skilled in proposing improvements for prompt engineering and evaluation criteria.

• Demonstrates clear, metacognitive communication (“showing your work”).

• A degree in Linguistics, Indigenous Studies, Translation, or a related discipline is preferred.

• Relevant professional experience in teaching, translation, language documentation, or community engagement is advantageous.
