Manufacturing Leader

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alabama, +10 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist the director by managing strategic initiatives and special projects.

• Ensure effective communication throughout the manufacturing department.

• Maintain a strong pipeline of gross cost-savings initiatives.

• Lead the development and upkeep of the Cost Transformation Management system.

• Create analytical tools and performance reports to enhance data visibility and support decision-making.

• Collaborate with the Senior Manufacturing and Manufacturing Transformation Director on strategic plans for manufacturing locations.

• Oversee the execution of key initiatives and projects that align with organizational objectives.

• Support the deployment of strategy and the facility’s five-year Strategic Business Plan (SBP).

• Provide leadership and direction to manufacturing teams.

• Oversee business processes for the North America Manufacturing Management System, including accountability processes, strategy deployment, and leader standard work.

• Facilitate collaboration across various functions.

• Represent the Senior Manufacturing Director in meetings and communications as necessary.

• Prepare reports, presentations, and other documents for the Senior Manufacturing Director.

• Monitor and analyze manufacturing operations, offering recommendations for improvement.

• Lead activities and strategies focused on manufacturing cost transformation.

• Be responsible for developing a three-year cost-savings pipeline.

• Organize and lead workshops aimed at generating ideas to close current-year gaps and build the future pipeline.

⛳️ Requirements

• BA or BS degree is required.

• MBA or MS degree is preferred.

• Minimum of 10 years of experience, ideally across multiple functions and/or areas of the supply chain.

• Strong leadership abilities with a proven record of achieving results and promoting an inclusive work environment.

• Excellent communication skills, with the capability to influence mill managers and senior leaders.

• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects concurrently.

• Proficient in project management tools and software.

• Adaptable to support a 24/7 operation.

• Willingness to travel up to 15% for benchmarking and sharing best practices across North America.

• Capable of working in a manufacturing setting.
