Mandarin/Cantonese VRI/OPI Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Vietnam.

📋 Description

• Professionally answer calls while adhering to the Interpreter's code of conduct.

• Always be prepared to take notes during calls.

• Familiarize yourself with the specific vocabulary relevant to the healthcare and medical industry, with training provided.

• Accurately and completely convey all messages without additions, omissions, or substitutions.

• Deliver the highest level of customer service during interpretation.

• Facilitate effective communication between Limited English Proficient individuals and clients by providing precise and complete interpretation.

• Uphold standards of practice.

• Participate in internal professional training sessions.

• Show enthusiasm for obtaining new professional certifications.

• Communicate and report to your team leader effectively.

• Adhere to dress code requirements for video remote interpreting.

⛳️ Requirements

• Fluent in the source language (English) and a native speaker of the target language "Chinese."

• A minimum of 1 year of telephone interpretation experience at a reputable interpretation company is preferred but not required.

• A solid understanding of medical terminology is advantageous but not mandatory.

• Familiarity with legal terminology is a plus.

• International certifications in the healthcare field are beneficial (e.g., PICSI, ALTA, HIPAA, etc.).

• High school diploma in your native language.

• Possess high emotional intelligence and tolerance for diverse cultures.

• Exceptional communication, listening, note-taking, and memory retention skills.
