Mandarin Language Interpreter

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Accurately convey concepts and meanings between Mandarin and English while maintaining complexity, clarity, tone, style, grammar, and syntax.

• Deliver comprehensive interpretations that encompass all details of conversations.

• Manage challenging calls at any time.

• Utilize customer service and communication skills with clear enunciation, pronunciation, and professional demeanor.

• Adhere to client instructions and effectively manage call flow without dominating the conversation.

• Refrain from interacting with limited-English speakers without explicit client permission.

• Maintain composure during incoherent, distressed, and emergency calls.

• Be punctual and available during scheduled working hours.

• Ensure internet access for work-related electronic communications.

• Execute other assigned responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Proficiency in English and Mandarin (HSK4/Native speakers with an OCI card).

• Advanced understanding of the cultural dynamics, implications, and idiomatic expressions in Mandarin.

• Exceptional listening, retention, and note-taking abilities.

• Capability to concentrate, remain detached from the conversation, and uphold neutrality and objectivity.

• Ability to clarify cultural concepts to prevent misunderstandings with permission or at the client's request.

• Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights.
