This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Supervise the engineering team in delivering projects and ensure that engineers are technically equipped.
• Guarantee that services are completed comprehensively and efficiently, fulfilling or surpassing client expectations.
• Manage and support a diverse team of consultants.
• Cultivate client relationships and ensure client satisfaction throughout the engagement process.
• Contribute to the growth and development of the team.
• Design and deliver training programs while overseeing monthly internal training workshops.
• Assist in building and recruiting the professional services team within the designated region.
• Establish training objectives in collaboration with the Services Director.
• Oversee technical development, team morale, employee evaluations, and HR approvals.
• Ensure quality assurance for team projects.
• Engage in pre-sales engineering activities, including BOM assistance, SOW creation, and planning/designing intricate multi-vendor solutions.
• Provide technical guidance and support throughout engagements.
• Collaborate with manufacturers and engineering resources for design support and lab access.
• Develop expertise in line with client technologies and assist in achieving business outcomes.
• Build and nurture relationships with manufacturers and vendors.
• Act as an escalation point for engineering, consulting, and architecture personnel.
• Meet with key vendors to remain informed about products and technologies.
• Pursue ongoing education in relevant certifications.
• Lead and mentor team members through coaching and development initiatives.
• Foster an environment of inclusivity, respect, communication, and collaboration.
• Collaborate on strategic initiatives aimed at driving innovation and organizational change.
• Proactively resolve conflicts and escalate concerns as necessary.
• Preferably a Bachelor’s degree.
• Over 10 years of hands-on experience in IT.
• At least 5 years of experience in a Consultant or Architect position.
• Possession of multiple industry-recognized certifications, such as CCIE, VCP, NACP, or CISSP.
• Exceptional customer service skills, both over the phone and in person.
• Professional demeanor.
• Capability to think critically and develop solutions rapidly.
• Comprehensive knowledge and ability to design, plan, implement, and support IT solutions using two or more of the following: Virtualization, Storage Area Networks (SAN), Networking, Collaboration (Messaging), VoIP, Video Conferencing, Backup, Blade Server Technology, or Security.
• Ability to meet customer IT requirements and serve customers to ePlus’ standards.
• Capability to perform seated and occasional standing or walking activities.
