Managing Director, Strategic Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pennsylvania.

📋 Description

• Oversee operational turnaround management and financial restructuring projects.

• Deliver expertise and guidance in investment banking, valuation, litigation support, and asset disposition roles.

• Manage and lead teams composed of J.S. Held personnel.

• Facilitate interactions with client teams, shareholders, lenders, and various stakeholders.

• Handle multiple projects concurrently.

• Operate effectively under pressure in crisis situations with limited resources and tight deadlines.

• Generate deliverables.

• Drive business development initiatives and nurture referral-source relationships within legal, lending, and investor sectors.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to create and execute go-to-market strategies aimed at revenue growth.

• Provide assistance on additional ad hoc tasks as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 20 years of relevant experience in the turnaround and restructuring field.

• Proven track record in business development.

• Capability to cross-sell other J.S. Held expertise and service offerings.

• Proficiency in delegating and managing multiple projects.

• Ability to mentor junior staff members.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• Advanced degrees, such as JD or MBA, are advantageous.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Experience in fast-paced, often unpredictable environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of bankruptcy.

• Capacity to multitask and adhere to deadlines.

• Willingness and ability to travel to client locations, sometimes extensively.

• Travel as required.
