Managing Director, Strategic Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.

📋 Description

• Oversee operational turnaround management and financial restructuring initiatives.

• Offer expertise and leadership in investment banking, valuation, litigation support, and asset disposition functions.

• Manage and guide teams comprised of J.S. Held personnel.

• Facilitate interactions with client teams, shareholders, lenders, and other key stakeholders.

• Handle multiple projects concurrently.

• Operate effectively under pressure in crisis scenarios with limited resources and stringent deadlines.

• Generate deliverables.

• Drive business development initiatives and foster referral source relationships within legal, lending, and investment communities.

• Work collaboratively with internal stakeholders to create and execute go-to-market strategies aimed at revenue growth.

• Assist with various ad hoc tasks as requested.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 20 years of pertinent experience in the turnaround and restructuring sector.

• Proven track record in business development.

• Capability to cross-sell additional expertise and service offerings from J.S. Held.

• Proficiency in delegating and leading multiple projects.

• Ability to mentor junior professional staff.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.

• Advanced degrees, such as JD or MBA, are advantageous.

• Exceptional organizational skills and keen attention to detail.

• Experience in navigating challenging and often chaotic environments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all elements related to bankruptcy.

• Capacity to multitask and adhere to deadlines.

• Willingness to travel to client locations, sometimes extensively.

• Travel as required.
