Senior Managing Director, Strategic Advisory

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.

📋 Description

• Oversee operational turnaround management and financial restructuring initiatives.

• Offer expertise and guidance in investment banking, valuation, litigation support, and asset disposition roles.

• Manage and supervise personnel at J.S. Held.

• Direct engagements with client teams, shareholders, lenders, and other key stakeholders.

• Handle multiple projects concurrently.

• Operate effectively under pressure in crisis situations with limited resources and tight timelines.

• Deliver high-quality outputs.

• Lead business development initiatives and foster referral-source relationships within legal, lending, and investment communities.

• Collaborate with internal teams to create and execute go-to-market strategies aimed at revenue enhancement.

• Provide assistance on various ad hoc tasks as required.

⛳️ Requirements

• 20+ years of pertinent experience in the turnaround and restructuring sector.

• Proven track record in leading projects and driving business development.

• Capability to cross-sell other J.S. Held services and expertise.

• Proficient in delegating and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

• Ability to mentor junior professional staff.

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.

• Advanced degrees, such as JD or MBA, are advantageous.

• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Experience in challenging and often unpredictable environments.

• Comprehensive knowledge of all facets of bankruptcy.

• Ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines.

• Willingness and capability to travel to client sites, sometimes extensively.

• Travel as necessary.
