Managing Director, Complex Accounting, Litigation – Insurance Industry Expertise Required

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Lead, mentor, and cultivate junior team members in client engagements and business development efforts.

• Promote a collaborative, high-performance culture that emphasizes quality, innovation, and client satisfaction.

• Support internal knowledge sharing, training, and professional growth initiatives.

• Capable of overseeing and executing projects across various disciplines, including complex investigations related to regulatory inquiries, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services.

• Guide the creation of client deliverables, such as reports, presentations, data visualizations, and testimonies.

• Act as a senior point of contact for clients, ensuring exceptional service and strategic insights.

• Grow your book of business and contribute to the expansion of the Complex Accounting & Litigation practice.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to develop and implement go-to-market strategies.

• Establish and maintain relationships with law firms, regulators, financial institutions, and corporate clients.

• Represent J.S. Held at industry events, conferences, and client meetings.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of relevant experience in areas such as auditing, CFO roles, regulatory or standard-setting, forensic accounting, litigation consulting, and expert witness services.

• Certified Public Accountant or equivalent qualification.

• Demonstrated experience focused on delivering high-quality client services and managing team dynamics.

• Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex findings into clear, actionable insights.

• Strong organizational abilities and the capacity to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

• Proven track record in business development and client relationship management.

• Extensive experience in the financial services and insurance sectors.

• Previous audit experience is required.

• Additional relevant certifications, including CFE, CFF, and others.
