This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
• Oversee the EMEA Regional Operations Hub, serving as a regional component of the global hub-and-spoke infrastructure model.
• Implement the global infrastructure roadmap and enterprise standards within EMEA, customizing for regional needs such as data residency and GDPR compliance.
• Act as the senior escalation point for regional infrastructure issues and advocate for EMEA priorities to global infrastructure leadership.
• Collaborate with regional business leaders to ensure IT infrastructure services meet local business demands.
• Supervise infrastructure operations, network operations, and database operations throughout EMEA.
• Lead Level 2 application support and site reliability practices pertinent to the region.
• Manage regional business services, including incident management, problem management, change execution, service requests, monitoring and alerting, access and identity, capacity management, backup and recovery, and local support.
• Promote automation and operational efficiency in monitoring, patching, and provisioning processes.
• Utilize AI and automation to enhance operational capacity, boost efficiency, minimize manual tasks, and speed up consistent service delivery.
• Oversee regional vendor relations and service-level agreements.
• Report on regional infrastructure performance and risks to global infrastructure leadership.
• Administer the EMEA infrastructure budget and ongoing expenditures.
• Collaborate with finance and procurement to optimize vendor costs and enhance cost transparency.
• Build, guide, and retain a high-performing infrastructure and operations team in EMEA.
• Establish accountability and measurable delivery through well-defined performance metrics.
• Lead recruitment and performance management for the regional organization.
• A minimum of 8 years' experience in IT infrastructure, systems engineering, or technology operations.
• At least 3 years of experience in team leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience managing regional or multi-site infrastructure operations across cloud, hybrid, and on-premises environments.
• Practical experience in networking, cloud platforms (preferably Azure), virtualization, and storage.
• Strong foundation in ITIL-aligned service management, including incident, problem, and change management.
• Familiarity with infrastructure monitoring, automation, and orchestration tools.
• Proven ability to leverage AI-enabled tools and automation to enhance operational scale, team productivity, process efficiency, and service reliability.
• Comprehensive understanding of cybersecurity, backup & disaster recovery, and compliance frameworks such as GDPR.
• Prior experience in budget management.
• Exceptional communication skills, capable of collaborating across regional and global teams.
• Experience in operating within a global hub-and-spoke or follow-the-sun support model is preferred.
