Manager – Strategic Finance

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois, +4 more states.

📋 Description

• Assist in the annual budgeting process in partnership with department leaders.

• Establish financial planning templates and procedures that align with the organization’s goals.

• Develop financial forecasts and perform variance analysis.

• Monitor key drivers of financial performance.

• Provide support to executive leadership through financial modeling and analysis.

• Deliver data-driven insights to enhance financial performance.

• Create financial reports for executive leaders and other stakeholders, including the board and lenders.

• Design dashboards and presentations to convey financial performance metrics.

• Work collaboratively across functions to identify financial requirements and offer support.

• Partner with accounting and other departments to ensure precise financial reporting.

• Assess ROI and optimize expenditures in collaboration with executive leadership.

• Recognize financial risks and develop strategies for mitigation.

• Keep track of market trends and evaluate their effects on financial performance.

• Aid in financial modeling, due diligence, and the assessment of potential M&A opportunities.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• Over 5 years of experience in financial planning and analysis.

• Demonstrated expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling.

• Strong analytical skills and strategic thinking capabilities.

• Outstanding communication and presentation skills.

• Proficient in financial software and tools (e.g., Excel, Salesforce, QuickBooks).

• Ability to excel in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

• Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in investment banking or private equity investing.

• Preferred: Previous experience in a private equity-backed organization.

• Preferred: Work experience within a SaaS company.

• Preferred: Experience in utilizing LLMs for designing and constructing data pipelines, API integrations, and workflow automations across Finance and GTM tools.
