Manager SAP EWM – Logistics / Supply Chain

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Assume full accountability for the planning, management, and successful execution of SAP EWM projects from a Logistics viewpoint.

• Establish functional objectives, requirements, priorities, and success criteria in collaboration with clients.

• Guide internal IT teams, external SAP consultants, and service providers.

• Oversee SAP EWM implementation, roll-outs, optimizations, and relevant SAP WM-to-SAP EWM migrations.

• Specify warehouse and intralogistics process requirements and guarantee their consistent execution.

• Coordinate and lead functional key users, process owners, and client-side EWM specialists.

• Manage external SAP implementation partners, developers, and technical service providers from a functional standpoint.

• Define acceptance criteria and monitor the quality of deliverables.

• Oversee functional testing, encompassing test design, test cases, UAT, and sign-off.

• Organize and assist with business-side cutover, go-live, and hypercare activities.

• Establish project governance, decision-making protocols, escalation routes, status reporting, issue management, and change management processes.

• Facilitate change communication, training, and employee empowerment.

• Ensure the establishment of a capable and sustainable business organization post-project completion.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in management consulting or relevant industry positions focusing on Logistics, Intralogistics, or Supply Chain.

• Ideal experience should include warehouse, distribution, or production logistics.

• A university degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

• Profound understanding of warehouse and intralogistics processes, including goods receipt, storage, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, inventory, and returns.

• Knowledge of interfaces with Production, Sales, and Quality Management.

• Experience in leading or playing a significant role in digitalization or SAP projects, preferably SAP EWM and/or SAP S/4HANA.

• Practical knowledge of SAP EWM and associated logistics modules such as MM, SD, PP, QM, and, if applicable, TM.

• Proficiency in requirements management, process design, test management, change management, and stakeholder management.

• Experience in managing external SAP implementation partners and interdisciplinary teams.

• Ability to provide clear functional leadership to IT teams and consultants.

• Organized, solution-focused, and reliable working approach.

• Assertiveness, diplomatic capabilities, and a proactive mindset.

• Excellent command of German and good proficiency in English, both written and spoken.
