This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Maryland.
• Take ownership of financial master data and reporting frameworks, encompassing the chart of accounts, entities, cost centers, projects, and reporting hierarchies.
• Establish and uphold standardized financial data definitions and reporting attributes.
• Review and authorize modifications to financial master data and reporting frameworks.
• Collaborate with Accounting, FP&A, financial reporting, IT, and Microsoft stakeholders.
• Assist in new reporting needs, organizational transformations, and system initiatives.
• Investigate and resolve issues related to data, hierarchy, mapping, and reporting.
• Support corporate reporting activities, including Transmit.
• Maintain and verify reporting structures, mappings, and the foundational financial data.
• Ensure adherence to US GAAP accounting standards, reporting requirements, company policies, and internal controls.
• Promote process enhancements within designated areas of responsibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Over 8 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, finance systems, or comparable finance roles.
• Proven experience in supporting accounting closures, financial reporting, management reporting, or finance transformation projects.
• Familiarity with financial master data, reporting structures and hierarchies, or finance systems.
• In-depth knowledge of financial reporting, financial data structures, reporting hierarchies, and the application of financial data in reporting, planning, and business processes.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication abilities.
• Capability to investigate and resolve intricate data and reporting challenges.
• Ability to balance business needs with standardization, consistency, and control objectives.
• Self-driven with a focus on continuous improvement.
• CPA is preferred but not mandatory.
• Experience with Oracle, PowerBI, SmartView, or similar tools is advantageous.
