Manager – Medical Coding

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Supervise coding teams assigned to various coding projects

• Oversee the upkeep of medical records and the coding of information from those records

• Engage in the preparation of reports and correspondence related to patient admissions, treatments, discharges, and fatalities

• Ensure adherence to departmental policies and legal standards concerning the release of medical information

• Collaborate with healthcare providers, professionals, and coding teams

• Guarantee that clinical information is accurate and available in medical records

• Support appropriate utilization, clinical severity assessments, outcomes, and quality capture for the services provided

• Ensure that reimbursement for patient care services is compliant

• Provide oversight for project quality

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree or 7 years of experience in medical coding/management

• 7 years of previous experience in medical coding/management

• CCS or CPC (Certified Medical Coding certifications) required

• Responsible for overseeing project quality

• Must be a US Citizen

• Willingness to undergo a federal background check as part of the onboarding process

• Experience in Federal or Military Coding is a plus
