Clinical Coder II

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Input terms identified as adverse events along with medical history records.

• Utilize industry-standard dictionaries like MedDRA and WHODrug to encode prior and concomitant medications.

• Conduct coding in alignment with departmental coding standards and company standard operating procedures (SOPs).

• Create queries to clarify any potentially inconsistent data.

• Provide assistance with data coding consistency reviews and serious adverse event (SAE) reconciliation as required.

• Work in collaboration with medical monitors and members of the Clinical and Data Management teams to ensure timely processing in accordance with project timelines.

• Support interdepartmental training for new employees as necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree or a relevant health science background, or equivalent experience in place of a four-year degree.

• A minimum of 2 years of industry experience in pharmacovigilance, clinical research, and/or clinical data management.

• Preferred experience with MedDRA and WHODD.

• Familiarity with medical terminology, clinical trials, and coding practices.

• Proficient in using coding tools such as Medidata RAVE Coder, TMS, and Veeva.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

• Capability to work both independently and as part of cross-functional teams.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
