Manager, Lease Accounting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Examine lease abstractions in relation to new lease agreements and modifications to ensure proper classification and recognition in accordance with ASC 842.

• Conduct thorough accounting analyses of intricate lease agreements and distinct scenarios.

• Document accounting findings and provide supporting analyses.

• Carry out monthly lease closing activities, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and flux analyses.

• Take ownership of lease financial reporting outputs, such as cash flows, rollforwards, and disclosures.

• Collaborate with Real Estate, Lease Administration, and other cross-functional teams.

• Spearhead process enhancements and automation projects.

• Ensure the maintenance of lease SOX controls.

• Assist with internal and external audit inquiries.

• Report directly to the Senior Accounting Manager within the Lease Accounting team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related discipline, and/or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 6 years of accounting experience.

• Comprehensive knowledge of US GAAP lease accounting (ASC 842).

• Experience in reviewing lease agreements and interpreting lease provisions.

• Ability to assess financial impacts and determine suitable accounting treatments.

• Proven ability to manage multiple deliverables to completion within closing deadlines.

• Excellent skills in cross-functional collaboration and communication.

• Strong attention to detail and a demonstrated capacity for problem-solving.
