This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +14 more states.
• Provides leadership and guidance in the planning, development, and maintenance of Centene's IT service operations function.
• Oversees enterprise system management as well as event management tools and their upkeep.
• Directs ITSM strategies, including collaboration with disaster recovery and business continuity teams.
• Manages the performance and reliability of the ITSM team by setting and implementing technical and operational performance standards.
• Leads the enterprise Software Asset Management team.
• Supervises software license governance, optimization, compliance, lifecycle management, reporting, and operational delivery.
• Collaborates with Procurement, Finance, Legal, technology teams, software owners, and leadership utilizing Flexera and related tools.
• Develops strategies and plans for executing policies and procedures to ensure high quality and availability.
• Defines and maintains service operations KPI metrics.
• Oversees planning, hosting, and execution of operational activities for IT service and support teams.
• Manages batch processing, backup/recovery jobs, system health checks, system reboots, user account management, and system patching.
• Supervises enterprise event management tools, including their maintenance, configuration, integration, and strategy.
• Manages hiring, training, performance reviews, leadership, technical guidance, and coaching for IT Service team members.
• Leads the team to ensure stable ITSM operations.
• Shares expertise and develops the capabilities of staff.
• Manages the service operations budget, including reporting and forecasting.
• Develops and communicates organizational objectives while motivating team members.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
• Adheres to all policies and standards.
• Bachelor's degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, or equivalent experience gained through applicable knowledge, duties, scope, and skill.
• Candidates must be authorized to work in the U.S. without employment-based visa sponsorship, now or in the future.
• ITIL Foundations v3 certification is required.
• Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, UNIX/Linux, Data Domain Storage, NetBackup, SolarWinds, Microsoft System Center or equivalent, current networking systems, and ITIL framework and practices is desired.
• Ability to lead and manage others effectively.
• Strong collaboration and team-building skills.
• Capability to coach and provide constructive feedback.
• Ability to communicate and make recommendations to upper management.
• Effective conflict management skills.
• Proficiency in developing and delivering effective presentations.
• Demonstrated negotiation skills.
• Expertise in Enterprise Software Asset Management and software licensing is preferred.
• Experience with Flexera or a comparable SAM platform is preferred.
• Experience in people leadership, coaching, and team development is preferred.
• Skills in license optimization, compliance, renewals, and audit support are preferred.
• Background in data analysis, reporting, dashboards, and data-quality management is preferred.
• Knowledge of process governance, controls, automation, and continuous improvement is preferred.
• Experience with cross-functional collaboration with Procurement, Finance, Legal, and IT is preferred.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and executive presentation skills are preferred.
