Manager – IRM Risk Consulting

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Spearhead ServiceNow IRM and Risk Consulting projects from the initial discovery and planning phases through to implementation, deployment, adoption, and post-production transition.

• Gain a comprehensive understanding of client goals, governance frameworks, regulatory requirements, operational structures, risks, and program maturity to inform engagement strategy and execution.

• Conduct stakeholder interviews, discovery sessions, assessments, design workshops, executive steering committees, project-status meetings, and governance discussions.

• Ensure that deliverables align with client expectations, SOWs, contractual obligations, budgets, timelines, and Templar Shield quality standards.

• Oversee delivery risks, scope adjustments, dependencies, and escalations while maintaining communication with client executives, project sponsors, delivery teams, and leadership.

• Provide strategic advice to clients on governance, risk, compliance, internal audit, policy management, third-party risk, business continuity, and operational resilience.

• Convert business, regulatory, and operational needs into actionable ServiceNow IRM strategies, maturity assessments, implementation roadmaps, future-state operating models, and quantifiable results.

• Offer delivery oversight while Architects handle solution architecture and technical design.

• Assist in the development of governance structures, risk taxonomies, control frameworks, assessment methodologies, compliance monitoring, audit practices, issue management, and remediation programs.

• Evaluate solution designs, process flows, workflows, integrations, dashboards, reporting strategies, implementation plans, and AI-enabled capabilities.

• Lead, mentor, and nurture Architects and consulting team members through coaching, feedback, career development, and professional growth planning.

• Organize resource planning, staffing, workload distribution, and team assignments.

• Support recruiting, interviewing, onboarding, training, and retention initiatives.

• Monitor engagement financials, budgets, utilization, resource capacity, schedules, delivery performance, contractual obligations, and client satisfaction.

• Establish and track engagement metrics, identify risks, develop mitigation strategies, and support project governance, reporting, forecasting, documentation, and delivery controls.

• Relay engagement performance, significant risks, resource needs, and client issues to the Director.

• Assist in business development, account expansion, pre-sales discovery, solution demonstrations, proposals, estimates, staffing plans, SOWs, RFP responses, and follow-on opportunities.

• Enhance the Risk Consulting practice through service offerings, methodologies, accelerators, demonstrations, templates, training materials, reusable assets, thought leadership, webinars, conferences, and industry events.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in delivering ServiceNow, governance, risk, compliance, audit, resilience, cybersecurity, or enterprise consulting services.

• 3+ years of experience in leading and developing consulting teams, managing client engagements, or holding a Manager, Senior Consultant, Architect, or similar delivery-leadership role.

• Proven experience in leading enterprise ServiceNow IRM implementations or governance, risk, compliance, audit, third-party risk, business continuity, or operational resilience projects.

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple client engagements or workstreams, including project teams, scope, budgets, timelines, resources, risks, and deliverables.

• Strong capability in facilitating discovery sessions, stakeholder interviews, requirements workshops, assessments, solution reviews, executive presentations, and governance meetings.

• In-depth knowledge of governance, enterprise risk management, regulatory compliance, internal controls, policy management, audit, issue management, and remediation processes.

• Experience in translating business, regulatory, and operational requirements into implementation strategies, roadmaps, operating models, and scalable ServiceNow solutions.

• Background in developing proposals, estimates, staffing plans, Statements of Work (SOWs), and responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs).

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Cybersecurity, Business, Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

• ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA).

• Exceptional communication, facilitation, relationship-management, and decision-making skills, with the ability to effectively engage with executive stakeholders and geographically distributed teams.

• Willingness to travel up to 50% based on client and business requirements.

• Preferred: Certified Implementation Specialist (CIS) – Risk and Compliance, Certified Application Developer (CAD), or other relevant ServiceNow certifications.

• Preferred: Professional certification in risk, audit, security, business continuity, privacy, compliance, or project management, such as CRISC, CISA, CISM, CISSP, CBCP, CRCM, or PMP.

• Preferred: Experience in implementing various ServiceNow IRM capabilities, including Risk Management, Policy and Compliance Management, Audit Management, Third-Party Risk Management, Business Continuity Management, Operational Resilience, or Issues Management.

• Preferred: Experience in conducting IRM maturity assessments, developing multi-year roadmaps, designing governance programs or future-state operating models, and creating reusable consulting methodologies and accelerators.

• Preferred: Familiarity with regulatory and control frameworks such as NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2, COSO, COBIT, PCI DSS, HIPAA, FFIEC, or CIS Controls.

• Preferred: Experience working within regulated industries such as financial services, healthcare, energy, utilities, technology, telecommunications, or the public sector.

• Preferred: Experience with ServiceNow data migrations, integrations, reporting strategies, platform governance, enterprise implementation planning, and related ServiceNow functionalities such as SecOps, ITSM, ITOM, CMDB, Privacy Management, ServiceNow Otto, AI Control Tower, or other AI-enabled workflow capabilities.

• Preferred: Exposure to related ServiceNow functionalities such as Security Operations, IT Service Management, IT Operations Management, Configuration Management Database, Privacy Management, or third-party governance and risk platforms.
