This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.
• Lead the delivery and support of Windows, virtualization, and Citrix infrastructure services.
• Ensure compliance with SLAs, operational metrics, and commitments to clients.
• Supervise incident, problem, change, and outage management processes.
• Promote continuous service improvement with a focus on availability, performance, automation, and user experience.
• Manage platform lifecycles, operational risks, technical debt, and compliance obligations.
• Lead and mentor teams in Windows, VMware, and Citrix engineering.
• Establish performance objectives, career development plans, and strategies for succession planning.
• Oversee workload prioritization, staffing, and resource distribution.
• Provide governance for Windows Server, Active Directory, VMware, Citrix, RDS, PKI, identity management, storage, backup, and monitoring platforms.
• Ensure patching, vulnerability remediation, and adherence to security compliance.
• Manage capacity, performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery, and business continuity readiness.
• Lead initiatives for infrastructure deployments, upgrades, migrations, modernization, virtualization optimization, and consolidation.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, network, application, and architecture teams.
• Advocate for automation through PowerShell, infrastructure-as-code, and systems management tools.
• Support the adoption and integration of hybrid cloud solutions.
• Act as the primary escalation contact for service delivery issues.
• Present operational reviews, metrics, service health dashboards, and risk assessments.
• Communicate project updates, service enhancements, and infrastructure roadmaps to leadership and clients.
• Assist in solution development, resource planning, budgeting, and identifying client growth opportunities.
• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Over 8 years of experience in supporting enterprise Windows infrastructure environments.
• More than 5 years of leadership experience managing technical infrastructure teams.
• Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory Services, VMware vSphere and ESXi, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC (Netscaler), Microsoft DNS and DHCP, server virtualization, and enterprise infrastructure operations.
• Proven experience supporting large-scale production environments with high availability demands.
• Strong understanding of ITIL service management principles and operational best practices.
• Experience managing disaster recovery, business continuity, and resiliency planning.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience leading enterprise infrastructure modernization and cloud transformation projects.
• Knowledge of Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, and hybrid identity solutions.
• Experience with PowerShell automation, Ansible, or similar orchestration platforms.
• Familiarity with VDI optimization, profile management, and EUC transformation initiatives.
• ITIL Foundation or advanced ITIL certification is preferred.
• VMware (VCP), Citrix (CCP-V/CCE-V), Microsoft, or related infrastructure certifications are preferred.
