This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Act as a vital financial partner to the CTO and the Engineering team regarding R&D investment, resource distribution, productivity, and decision-making processes.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Tech/FinOps to link product and customer usage, architecture, capacity, and consumption with unit economics and gross margins.
• Discover opportunities to enhance the efficiency and scalability of cloud infrastructure.
• Evaluate R&D resources, capacity, outcomes, and operating leverage.
• Create business cases and scenario analyses to prioritize investments and guide technical and operational decisions.
• Work alongside CCO leadership in Professional Services, Support, Training, and Customer Success.
• Assess Services margin, capacity, utilization, staffing composition, and cost to serve.
• Manage the budget, forecasts, and performance outlook for the supported organizations.
• Link operational drivers to gross margin, cost to serve, and R&D investment.
• Contribute to product P&Ls and insights into product-level profitability.
• Provide insights for company-wide forecasts, planning, and management reporting.
• Clarify performance drivers and suggest actionable recommendations.
• Continuously enhance models, data, and processes.
• Around 5–8+ years of advancing experience in FP&A, strategic finance, finance analytics, FinOps, or a similar field.
• Experience in a $300M–$1B PE-backed or pre-IPO enterprise B2B SaaS organization, or a closely related environment.
• Proven, hands-on expertise in SaaS cloud infrastructure economics, including consumption drivers, unit economics, scalability, and gross margin effects.
• Experience collaborating with leaders in Engineering, Technology, Product, or Tech/FinOps.
• Strong grasp of SaaS gross margin and cost-to-serve economics.
• Outstanding financial modeling and analytical abilities, including proficiency in navigating complex or incomplete operational data.
• Capacity to independently transition from analysis to insight, leading to clear viewpoints and recommendations.
• Technical curiosity and sufficient expertise to engage credibly with Engineering, probing deeper beyond initial explanations.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the capacity to work effectively with senior leaders in an individual contributor role.
