This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report directly to the Executive Director of Market Analytics & Business Intelligence within Corporate Strategy & Market Analytics.
• Deliver enterprise-level market intelligence, power economics analysis, and strategic insights to support GE Vernova’s long-term strategy, investment priorities, and market positioning.
• Collaborate with corporate and business unit leaders to pinpoint emerging market opportunities and evaluate associated risks.
• Convert intricate energy market dynamics into straightforward, actionable recommendations.
• Oversee the analysis of global and regional energy market trends, technology adoption, policy changes, and shifting customer needs.
• Create and manage enterprise market intelligence and GE Vernova’s House View.
• Evaluate long-term energy demand and supply trends, drivers of electrification growth, energy security, and requirements for power system resilience.
• Work alongside forecasting teams to synchronize market assumptions, scenarios, and outlooks across various regions and business units.
• Investigate power market dynamics, electricity pricing trends, and the techno-economic competitiveness of generation, grid, and storage technologies.
• Assess the effects of policy, regulation, market design, and investment signals on energy infrastructure decisions and the adoption of technology.
• Analyze market opportunities and potential disruptions stemming from emerging technologies, business models, and strategic adjacencies with Strategy, Ventures, and Advanced Research teams.
• Prepare insights, recommendations, and presentations that are suitable for executives and senior stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, finance, economics, business, or a related field from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in energy markets, power markets, corporate strategy, market analytics, strategic planning, growth strategy, or a related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of energy and power market fundamentals, fuel markets, energy policy, market design, and techno-economic analysis.
• Proven experience in conducting energy market research and translating data-driven analyses into strategic recommendations for senior stakeholders.
• Demonstrated capability to tackle complex business challenges, develop analytical frameworks, synthesize conclusions, and effectively communicate recommendations.
• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 15–20%, as business needs dictate.
• Familiarity with power market modeling, capacity expansion modeling, production cost modeling, or similar analytical tools.
• Proficient in using Python or similar tools for data analysis, automation, modeling, or visualization.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States for this position.
