Manager, Digital Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of client service professionals who support clinical and business systems throughout Manitoba’s provincial health system.

• Manage multiple projects simultaneously from inception to completion, handling aspects such as scope, risk, changes, issues, scheduling, costs, quality, and communication.

• Articulate project requirements and oversee changes, upgrades, and the implementation of new applications or technology platforms.

• Serve as the primary contact for transitioning designated applications into standard operational usage.

• Plan, suggest procurement or development, and execute assigned projects.

• Ensure continuous maintenance, lifecycle refresh, patching, application improvements, and upgrades for assigned technologies.

• Collaborate with vendors to facilitate outsourced service delivery and ongoing vendor support.

• Lead or influence change management and measure benefits realization alongside business leads.

• Encourage the adoption, optimization, deployment, and upkeep of technologies and related equipment.

• Align technology updates with enterprise architecture, standards, and approved operational plans.

• Report directly to a director.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8 years of progressive management experience within a large, 24/7/365, geographically diverse digital services organization that specializes in clinical, business, infrastructure, and/or enterprise architecture solutions and support, preferably in the healthcare sector.

• 5 years of experience overseeing client services focused on maintaining intricate computer systems and information infrastructure within a shared services environment.

• 3 years of experience executing annual operating plans aimed at client service and leading multiple project teams.

• 3 years of experience influencing mid and senior management and key stakeholders, as well as collaborating with vendors on outsourced services.

• Post-secondary degree in technology, computer science, engineering, or digital health/clinical informatics from an accredited institution.

• An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

• Active member in good standing with a relevant regulatory body, as appropriate.

• Proven mid-level leadership skills.

• Capability to work safely in a computerized office setting with frequent meetings.

• Ability to lift and carry items weighing up to approximately 10 kg.

• Valid Manitoba driver’s license and personal vehicle required for provincial travel.

• Current satisfactory Criminal Records Check, including Vulnerable Sector Search.

• Current Child Abuse Registry Check.

• Current Adult Abuse Registry Check.
