This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.
• Take charge of Acumen's contract portfolio and act as the central coordinator for contract lifecycle activities from award to closeout.
• Oversee contract renewals, amendments, notifications, obligations, and closeout processes.
• Maintain centralized repositories for contracts and governance processes.
• Ensure that all contract activities adhere to established approval and governance standards.
• Keep contract templates, playbooks, workflows, and operational procedures up to date.
• Lead the processes for contract renewals, amendments, redlines, and negotiations.
• Facilitate stakeholder review and approval workflows.
• Manage the engagement of outside counsel and coordinate legal reviews.
• Assist executive leadership in significant negotiations and strategic contract initiatives.
• Maintain reporting, dashboards, and key performance metrics for the contract portfolio.
• Monitor notice periods, obligations, pricing structures, key dates, and risk indicators.
• Provide insights on the contract portfolio to leadership, Finance, and the Board.
• Identify opportunities to enhance economics, governance, and portfolio performance.
• Lead the implementation and ongoing administration of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) systems.
• Enhance contract processes, workflows, and performance metrics.
• Establish scalable standards and governance practices for contracts.
• Create reporting and visibility tools for leadership and stakeholders.
• Supervise and mentor members of the Contract Management team.
• Define clear ownership, roles, and capacity planning.
• Develop documentation, training materials, and departmental standards.
• Suggest future enhancements in staffing, processes, and technology.
• Report directly to the Chief Growth Officer.
• Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal Studies, Public Administration, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
• 5–10 years of experience in contract management, procurement, sourcing, legal operations, or a related field.
• Proven experience in negotiating and managing commercial agreements.
• Demonstrated ability to coordinate reviews among multiple stakeholders.
• Strong skills in Excel, reporting, organization, and analysis.
• Excellent written, verbal, and executive communication skills.
• Capability to work independently and drive results with minimal supervision.
• Preferred: Experience in implementing or administering CLM platforms.
• Preferred: Background in healthcare, government, Medicaid, managed care, or regulated contracting environments.
• Preferred: Experience leading initiatives for contract process improvement.
• Preferred: Experience supervising employees or managing small teams.
• Preferred: Familiarity with working alongside outside counsel and managing contract redlines.
• Preferred: Experience in supporting executive leadership and board-level reporting.
