Commodity Sourcing Leader – Outsourced Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the outsourced systems commodity designated for the Gas Power New Units sector.

• Handle all commercial facets of supplier contracts associated with the designated commodity.

• Develop and manage the supplier panel effectively.

• Formulate and implement supplier strategies to enhance Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost.

• Identify suppliers for project quotations and lead the negotiation process.

• Ensure sufficient capacity in the supplier panel for the assigned commodities.

• Distribute demand appropriately and verify that suppliers fulfill GEV requirements.

• Collaborate with ITO, Engineering, Projects, Quality, and Procurement for award coordination and purchase order placements.

• Manage contract modifications and commercial claims in relation to delivery and quality issues.

• Cultivate subject matter expertise in the assigned commodity area.

• Assist in process improvement initiatives.

• Address complex issues, foster stakeholder alignment, and influence outcomes effectively.

• Act as a resource for junior team members.

• Utilize judgment, technical knowledge, data analytics, and cross-functional insights to aid decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.

• At least 5 years of experience in sourcing and/or commodity management.

• Excellent oral and written communication abilities.

• Strong interpersonal and leadership qualities.

• Proficient in analyzing and resolving issues.

• Capable of leading programs/projects, documenting, planning, marketing, and executing programs.

• Proven project management skills.

• Experience in Strategic Procurement, Sourcing, Commodity Management, and/or Supply Chain Management.

• Ability to create sourcing strategies and negotiate contracts effectively.

• Understanding of legal terms and contract negotiation processes.

• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as necessary, up to 20% of the time.

• Must possess legal authorization to work in the United States.

• Successful completion of a drug screening, if applicable.
