Manager, Consulting Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Lead and supervise a team of consultants across various consulting projects.

• Oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of client assignments.

• Act as a senior point of contact for client stakeholders.

• Provide mentorship, training, coaching, and professional growth opportunities for consulting staff.

• Collaborate with business development teams on proposals, RFPs, and project scoping efforts.

• Monitor project health, budgets, schedules, risks, and mitigation strategies.

• Drive continuous improvement in project delivery and team performance.

• Manage medium to large-scale projects, including multi-product and complex integrations.

• Develop project management plans adhering to Flexera’s best practices.

• Create SOWs, PIDs, PMPs, and Technical Design Documents.

• Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and payment milestones.

• Oversee cross-functional resources and third-party providers.

• Maintain communication with stakeholders and provide status updates.

• Supervise project budgets, revenue forecasts, invoicing, and margin objectives.

• Ensure project delivery aligns with contractual obligations.

• Serve as the primary liaison with enterprise customers and manage escalations.

• Build trusted advisor relationships and identify opportunities for collaboration.

• Recognize up-sell and cross-sell opportunities.

• Contribute domain expertise to scoping and proposal development.

• Lead and mentor project teams while addressing performance challenges.

• Encourage communication and knowledge sharing.

• Enhance Flexera’s methodologies, tools, and knowledge bases.

• Share lessons learned and implement improvements to tools and training programs.

• Maintain relevant certifications and deepen knowledge of Flexera’s solutions and vision.

⛳️ Requirements

• 8–10 years of management experience, with a focus on complex engagements.

• Experience in a consulting firm is strongly preferred.

• Advanced understanding of project management tools and methodologies.

• Familiarity with software asset management, IT infrastructure, and emerging cloud technologies.

• Expertise in Flexera products and delivery methodologies.

• Advanced knowledge of resource management and operations.

• Proficient in strategic project management and tactical execution.

• Skills in customer experience management.

• Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation abilities.

• Capability to manage relationships with senior-level customers and stakeholders.

• Solid knowledge of project management tools such as MS Project, Smartsheet, Jira, and Asana.

• Proven track record of delivering complex projects on time and within budget.

• Experience working with cross-functional and global teams.

• Comfortable in a fast-paced, client-facing consulting environment.

• Strategic, hands-on, execution-oriented mindset.

• Ability to maintain and enhance relevant certifications.
