This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Report to the Senior Manager of Commercial Strategy.
• Establish customer strategies and lead strategic planning efforts to optimize commercial opportunities and partnerships with major clients.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives focused on channel-specific product strategies to deliver product and packaging solutions for priority channels.
• Use category insights to formulate go-to-market strategies that enhance sales and profitability across designated retailers and channels.
• Analyze Nielsen, IRI, Circana, shopper insights, and internal performance metrics to pinpoint trends, gaps, and growth opportunities.
• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, Revenue Management, and Supply Chain on category strategies, assortment optimization, price-pack architecture, and promotional execution.
• Assist in annual joint business planning with customers by providing category growth narratives, shopper insights, and innovation opportunities.
• Convey customer and channel insights upstream to inform brand and innovation strategies and improve retail execution.
• Maintain reporting tools and conduct ongoing analysis of customer data trends to uncover distribution, promotional, competitive, and value-creation opportunities.
• Coordinate with Sales on necessary corrective actions.
• Formulate strategies for joint business planning, category reviews, and new item presentations alongside National Sales Directors and Category Management.
• Contribute to customer planning cycles and suggest go-to-market strategies in response to competitive and channel activities.
• Execute additional duties as assigned.
• Bachelor's degree required.
• A minimum of 4 years of experience in Sales, Category Management, Revenue Management, Customer Development, or other relevant roles within the CPG industry, including at least 2 years in Analytics.
• Knowledge of CPG categories, consumers, and shoppers.
• Comprehensive understanding of category management principles and their application to the Produce category.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Exceptional analytical capabilities and project management skills.
• Excellent presentation, consensus-building, and leadership skills.
• Proven ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and influence stakeholders.
• Strong time management, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to source, collect, and manipulate data to extract meaningful, actionable insights.
• Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Applications, with expert-level skills in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Experience in building databases and mining syndicated data sources for insights, including IRI/Nielsen.
