Manager, Charter Air Operations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Oversee the client and university partner interactions within the Charter Air department.

• Manage the complete lifecycle from sourcing to collection for charter air transportation.

• Foster and maintain relationships with charter departments at commercial airlines and charter air carriers both domestically and internationally.

• Handle the relationship management, selection, and contracting processes for collegiate and event clients.

• Potentially supervise Charter Air Coordinators.

• Cultivate strong partnerships with university stakeholders and charter air carriers.

• Coordinate and liaise with Anthony Travel's onsite athletics personnel and Event Managers.

• Assist in ensuring Anthony Travel secures the most competitive market rates.

• Support contract negotiations to mitigate risks and enhance company revenue.

• Conduct situation analyses and make strategic decisions.

• Collaborate with charter air liaisons to prepare charters for events and resolve customer service issues.

• Identify and implement solutions to process or business challenges.

• Oversee all elements of the air charter process.

• Manage client reporting tasks.

• Ensure compliance with procedures and policies, maintaining accuracy and consistency.

• Oversee the setup of data and information within travel management systems.

• Administer the customer travel experience, coordinating with carriers, TSA, airports, and addressing flight interruptions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of seven years of relevant business, sales, and charter air management experience.

• A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is mandatory.

• Demonstrated leadership and management abilities.

• Strong orientation towards client service and vendor management.

• Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills.

• Experience with Airline Certificates (Part 121, 125, & 135).

• Business knowledge of ARGUS ratings, airline certificates (Part 121, 125, and 135), DOT regulations, CFR, Part 212 affinity/single entity, and Part 380/public charters.

• Proven track record of developing relationships with current and prospective clients and partners, leading to financial or other advantages for the organization.

• Capability to comprehend and adhere to internal business processes, while recommending and implementing enhancements when feasible.

• Familiarity with the entire travel lifecycle and charter air operations and contracts.

• Ability to represent Anthony Travel professionally and effectively in both phone and face-to-face interactions.

• Team-oriented, with a focus on establishing business processes and achieving team objectives.
