Manager, BI Data Analytics

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Oregon.

📋 Description

• Lead and develop a team of analysts to provide insights that influence the operations and growth of KinderCare.

• Collaborate with the director on shaping the team’s vision, recruiting talent, and expanding the enterprise analytics practice.

• Prioritize tasks and enhance the communication of insights amidst a high volume of requests.

• Co-develop executive presentations and narratives, delivering them independently at senior leadership meetings.

• Manage urgent requests by quickly evaluating their scope, mobilizing resources, and ensuring thorough, high-quality results.

• Establish and maintain cross-functional relationships, acting as a thought partner for business leaders in making data-driven choices.

• Commit to team management and professional growth through regular check-ins, coaching, and performance evaluations.

• Identify and eliminate any emerging obstacles.

• Demonstrate and advocate for the effective use of AI tools to sustainably enhance analytics delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• 6–8 years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, or a related field, showcasing a history of progressively complex and critical business work.

• Proven people management experience leading a team of four or more, with a strong ability to develop talent.

• Experience in navigating multiple business domains.

• Ability to switch contexts multiple times a day while maintaining depth of understanding.

• Comfortable working in ambiguous, fast-paced environments where priorities frequently change and require regular adjustments.

• Strong analytical skills: able to interpret a model, identify flawed metrics, and challenge methodologies when discrepancies arise.

• Proficient in AI: actively utilize AI tools in your own tasks and assist your team in recognizing where AI can add significant value.

• Familiarity with Databricks or similar cloud-based analytical platforms is preferred.
