Manager, Behavioral Health Nurse Practitioner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +13 more states.

📋 Description

• Deliver strategic insights, sound judgment, organizational skills, and evidence-based analysis to influence decisions and fulfill Grace at Home requirements.

• Oversee daily clinical and operational activities of behavioral health nurse practitioners and the LCSW team with a 0.2 FTE administrative allocation.

• Mentor and train clinical staff in behavioral health.

• Perform psychiatric evaluations, assess mental health conditions, and diagnose mental health disorders.

• Create and manage personalized, evidence-based treatment plans.

• Prescribe, monitor, and modify psychotropic medications while educating patients about their usage.

• Provide psychotherapy and therapeutic interventions to individuals or groups.

• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care coordination.

• Maintain precise patient records and document progress in accordance with regulatory standards.

• Educate patients and their families regarding mental health, treatment alternatives, and coping strategies.

• Lead initiatives and solutions in behavioral health care while building a team of NPs and LCSWs.

• Develop a business strategy and roadmap aimed at improving member outcomes, enhancing other business areas, and exploring external market opportunities.

• Define and innovate sustainable revenue models to enhance company profitability.

• Collaborate with other business units to devise solutions that align with Grace at Home objectives.

• Offer subject matter expertise on nursing solutions, deployment strategies, and performance assessment.

• Foster a productive, collaborative, safe, and inclusive work environment.

• Report directly to the Senior Vice President of Direct Care Delivery.

⛳️ Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher as a BHNP or an equivalent degree with a proven record of academic excellence.

• NP license in the state of practice and willingness to obtain licensure in multiple states.

• Must hold a license in at least one of the following states: NY, IL, or GA.

• Board certifications are required.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in behavioral health.

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in the healthcare industry is preferred.

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills along with strong presentation abilities.

• Capability to clearly present concepts and models to teams, investors, partners, and other stakeholders.

• Proficient in all Microsoft Office applications.

• Ability to build and effectively manage relationships with business leaders and external partners.

• Sound judgment, impeccable ethics, and a strong orientation towards teamwork.

• Desire and capability to thrive and progress in a fast-paced, demanding, entrepreneurial environment.

• Ability to work indoors in an air-conditioned space with artificial lighting.

• Willingness to travel to and work in various offices or other environments.

• Strong communication skills for interactions with customers, vendors, management, and colleagues in person and via devices, including those who may be agitated.

• Ability to sit for extended periods.

• Capability to receive ordinary information and prepare or review documents.

• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs. occasionally.

• Good manual dexterity when using common office equipment.

• Strong reasoning skills and the ability to understand and utilize management reports, memos, and other documents.
