This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Perform comprehensive reviews of rates, evaluating profit and loss outcomes, historical and current trends, and forecasting underwriting losses.
• Execute in-depth analyses, provide recommendations, and create rate package proposals for executive management's consideration.
• Assist in the creation and design of innovative products and programs.
• Prepare materials for rate filings, including exhibits, rate manual pages, and additional data analyses to support rate and product modifications.
• Generate competitive intelligence reports that compare operations and outcomes.
• Gather competitor rates and overall market pricing benchmarks by product.
• Create and examine reports.
• Engage in ongoing professional development in the field of actuarial science.
• Report directly to the Chief Actuary.
• ACAS certification is required; FCAS designation is preferred.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience.
• Experience in management or as a project lead.
• A bachelor's degree in a related discipline is required.
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Familiarity with Python and other analytical tools for pricing, reporting, and decision-making.
• Experience in predictive modeling, data visualization, or process automation is advantageous.
• Proficient in SQL database language.
• Background in personal lines property and casualty insurance.
