Manager – Accounting Practice

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants anywhere in the world.

📋 Description

• Oversee and provide support to the accounting team.

• Organize and distribute workloads among various teams.

• Ensure adherence to the firm’s internal protocols and quality benchmarks.

• Facilitate the professional growth of team members.

• Confirm the compliance of accounting files prior to approval.

• Evaluate accounting, tax, and regulatory tasks.

• Guarantee compliance with filing obligations and statutory timelines.

• Perform file reviews before tax returns are submitted.

• Ensure adherence to AML/CFT protocols.

• Verify the completeness and compliance of client files.

• Identify regulatory risks and highlight areas needing attention.

• Escalate technical, tax, or regulatory concerns to the Chartered Accountant / CPA.

• Prepare necessary information for decision-making.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the firm’s processes.

• Conduct follow-up meetings with clients when needed.

• Address technical inquiries from teams and clients.

• Maintain a high level of client satisfaction.

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in an accounting practice.

• Demonstrated experience in supervising accounting teams.

• Strong grasp of accounting and tax issues impacting small businesses.

• Excellent understanding of general accounting and taxation.

• Good familiarity with regulatory requirements and AML protocols.

• Ability to analyze intricate files and pinpoint risks.
