Managed Detection and Response Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Mexico, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Investigate incoming EDR/XDR incidents, emphasizing precise triage and severity evaluation.

• Implement remediation actions such as workload isolation based on established playbooks.

• Record investigation steps and maintain comprehensive case documentation.

• Collaborate with AI engineering to test and enhance automated triage and response methodologies.

• Manage incidents from detection to resolution, seeking senior staff assistance when necessary.

• Assist in the development and refinement of documentation, automation, and incident correlation frameworks.

• Communicate incident status and recommendations to customers via email and phone.

• Stay updated on current security threats and the tactics used by attackers.

• Work a 5-day/8-hour schedule during business hours with rotational weekend coverage.

⛳️ Requirements

• Experience in SOC, MDR, or IT security operations is essential.

• Strong grasp of EDR/XDR operations and security incident workflows.

• In-depth knowledge of common attacker TTPs and the MITRE ATT&CK framework.

• Familiarity with Windows OS, Active Directory, Linux, and networking principles.

• Experience with log analysis using tools like Kibana or manual reviews.

• Proficient with security tools such as EDR, SIEM, and SOAR.

• Interest in automation technologies is a plus.

• Ability to adhere to structured processes and accurately document findings.

• Possess a growth mindset.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail are required.

• Proficient in English, both written and verbal, at B2 level or higher.
