Major Gift Officer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Cultivate, develop, and secure significant contributions for the Foundation’s initiatives.

• Oversee a portfolio of existing donors and potential contributors.

• Assist in engaging new donors through outreach activities, including special events for donors.

• Conduct research on donors, including identifying new major potential contributors.

• Create strategies for donor engagement through personal meetings, correspondence, and event involvement.

• Encourage supporters and prospects towards a collective objective of enhancing Texas, making solicitations when suitable.

• Provide exceptional stewardship following a donation.

• Record all donor interactions in the TPPF database.

• Present to senior management regarding donor strategies and initiatives as necessary.

• Report to the Director of Major Gifts.

• Communicate TPPF’s mission and vision to philanthropists both in Texas and nationally.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 2 years of experience in major gift fundraising with a proven record of success.

• Familiarity with free market donors and a national/state network is highly advantageous.

• Excellent storytelling, writing, oral communication, and debate skills.

• Strong skills in project management.

• Capability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and ensure follow-through.

• Strong dedication to the values of personal responsibility and free enterprise.

• Exceptional attention to detail.

• Personable, self-driven, and professional demeanor.

• Bachelor’s Degree or higher.

• Integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information.

• Willingness to travel as necessary; approximately 20% expected.
