Maintenance Planner

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Organize both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance for the designated aircraft fleet.

• Gather data and create comprehensive work packages for assigned aircraft, maintenance facilities, bases, and/or Part 145 repair stations.

• Oversee maintenance strategies to attain a 95% yield rate for inspections and tasks.

• Coordinate the scheduling of time-sensitive parts and recurring inspections alongside component planning.

• Collaborate with Purchasing, Warehousing, and the AOG Buyer to guarantee that necessary parts, tools, and components are accessible.

• Ensure that pre-planned requisitions for parts and tools are completed punctually and in compliance with SOP requirements.

• Take part in coordinating and pre-dock meetings with Part 145 repair stations for in-depth maintenance planning.

• Schedule compliance tasks for EOs, EAS, and FCDs issued by the Engineering department.

• Coordinate the availability of manpower and tools with leads from maintenance facilities and management at Part 145 repair stations; modify work packages as needed.

• Conduct weekly planning discussions with the area/region teams.

• Arrange MEL deferrals, including the provision of materials and tools.

• Generate weekly task listings for both line and base planning activities.

• Assist mechanics and vendor repair stations with data entry in Ramco and Air Vault to finalize work.

• Review completed work packages, transfer deferred tasks, ensure package closure, and inform management of any discrepancies, delays, or issues.

• Plan workloads to streamline the maintenance and repair processes for the assigned aircraft fleet.

• This position does not have supervisory responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• High school diploma or GED along with 3 to 5 years of relevant experience and/or training; or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• A minimum of 1 year of preferred experience in aviation maintenance operations planning.

• Between 3 to 5 years of Aircraft Maintenance Technician (AMT) experience.

• Airframe and Powerplant License or equivalent military experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with Federal Aviation Regulations pertaining to Part 135 and Part 145.

• Experience with Part 135 maintenance programs.

• Capability to manage changing priorities due to unforeseen challenges in processes and resources, defined projects, and leadership directives.

• Experience in planning work assignments, schedules, and monitoring work progress.

• Ability to work collaboratively with different departments to create statements of work, schedules, and procedures.

• Knowledge of maintenance planning and record-keeping software.

• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Access.

• Consistent and reliable attendance is required.

• Willingness and ability to travel approximately 2% of the time.
