This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Latin America.
• Take responsibility for tracking and reporting computer vision accuracy metrics based on customer and identifier type.
• Examine misclassifications and false negatives, determine root causes, and recognize patterns across various customers and yards.
• Curate, label, and prioritize datasets for model retraining in collaboration with ML and computer vision engineers.
• Develop and enhance the continuous learning pipeline to ensure new models are deployed weekly with minimal manual engineering intervention.
• Establish functional acceptance criteria for computer vision accuracy tailored to each customer and monitor progress.
• Convert accuracy insights into actionable recommendations for engineering teams and customer-facing stakeholders.
• As the pipeline evolves, create labeling and preprocessing tools, execute retraining jobs, and directly address identified error patterns.
• Over 3 years of experience in data quality, ML data engineering, or applied ML roles.
• Proven experience with computer vision or object detection systems operating in production environments.
• Proficient in writing Python for data analysis, pipeline automation, and dataset tooling.
• Strong analytical skills with the capability to analyze extensive volumes of imagery/data to identify patterns.
• Familiarity with dataset annotation and labeling tools and workflows, such as Roboflow, Labelbox, or CVAT.
• Excellent written and asynchronous communication skills in English.
• Preferred: experience with continuous learning or active learning pipelines in production ML systems.
• Preferred: knowledge of OCR systems and identifier recognition, including license plates and container numbers.
• Preferred: experience collaborating with customer success or support teams on quality metrics.
• Preferred: background in QA/test engineering related to ML systems.
• Preferred: specific experience with Roboflow.
• Ability to work as a full-time contractor through an agency.
