This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California.
• Assist and help lead tax due diligence for both buy-side and sell-side transactions in the middle market.
• Conduct thorough diligence on income tax, sales tax, property tax, payroll tax, and unclaimed property.
• Prepare and present detailed due diligence reports.
• Analyze deal structures and recommend tax-efficient strategies.
• Support the integration process post-transaction.
• Manage tax compliance engagements for individuals, corporations, and partnerships.
• Perform initial reviews of work products from tax seniors, tax staff, and interns.
• Act as a primary client contact for the firm.
• Identify and create opportunities for value-added services for clients.
• Mentor and coach junior staff members.
• Anticipate, identify, and assist in resolving complex tax-related issues.
• Manage expectations of both internal and external stakeholders regarding deliverables and deadlines.
• Conduct tax research and provide guidance on tax matters.
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Over 3 years of experience in corporate tax.
• Familiarity with C and S-Corps, as well as partnerships.
• Exceptional project management, analytical, interpersonal, and communication abilities.
• Self-driven with the capability to juggle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
• Strong ambition for career growth and aspirations toward future firm ownership.
• CPA or Attorney license is preferred.
• Preferred strong background in individual, corporate, and partnership taxation.
• Consultative or advising experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of CCH Axcess Tax is preferred.
