M365 Migration Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +2 more states.

📋 Description

• Plan, document, and implement migrations from Google Workspace to Microsoft 365, Exchange on-premises to Exchange Online, M365 tenant-to-tenant, and SharePoint on-premises to SharePoint Online.

• Facilitate client workshops and technical discovery sessions.

• Perform technical assessments and deliver findings to stakeholders.

• Develop technical design documents, migration runbooks, risk mitigation strategies, user communication templates, and knowledge transfer documentation.

• Create and execute migration strategies that minimize operational disruptions.

• Maintain consistent communication with clients throughout the project lifecycle.

• Conduct status updates and progress evaluations.

• Manage coexistence of environments during migration processes.

• Configure and enhance Microsoft 365 environments.

• Apply security and governance best practices.

• Offer post-migration support and facilitate knowledge transfer.


⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration.

• Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert certification.

• Demonstrated experience with Exchange migrations, M365 tenant-to-tenant migrations, Active Directory and Azure AD, as well as SharePoint Online and on-premises.

• Extensive knowledge of Exchange Online and Exchange Server, Microsoft Teams, OneDrive for Business, Azure AD Connect, and hybrid configurations.

• Experience with BitTitan MigrationWiz, Quest Migration Tools, and Microsoft’s native migration tools.

• Proficiency in PowerShell for automation purposes.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Strong experience in technical documentation.

• Preferred certifications: Microsoft 365 Certified: Security Administrator Associate, Azure Solutions Architect Expert, and Google Workspace Administrator.

• Desired experience with Microsoft Intune and Endpoint Manager, Microsoft Information Protection and Governance, Azure Information Protection, Exchange Load Balancing, and Database Availability Groups.

• Understanding of Microsoft FastTrack methodologies, cloud security and compliance, advanced PowerShell and automation, project management, client-facing documentation, and consultancy.

• Strong abilities in presentation, workshop facilitation, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, problem-solving, multitasking, autonomy, and managing client expectations.
