M365, Identity Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and maintain services within Microsoft 365, including Exchange Online, Purview, OneDrive, and Teams.

• Provide secondary support for SharePoint Online, Power BI, Power Platform, and related services.

• Manage Entra ID identity services, which encompass Conditional Access, External Identities (B2B), MFA, SSO integrations, and identity lifecycle processes.

• Oversee Okta and other identity platforms used by the company.

• Support email services, including Microsoft Exchange 2016/SE, Exchange Online, and Proofpoint.

• Develop and enforce governance, security policies, and compliance configurations for M365.

• Troubleshoot and resolve complex issues within the M365 ecosystem, identity platform, and hybrid environments.

• Administer and improve IAM tools and workflows, including provisioning, deprovisioning, RBAC, and privileged access management.

• Implement automation solutions utilizing PowerShell or other scripting techniques.

• Monitor system performance, security posture, and capacity to guarantee high availability and reliability.

• Collaborate with security, data center, and application teams on integration projects and cross-functional initiatives.

• Provide technical expertise during audits, risk assessments, and incident response activities.

• Create and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and standard operating procedures.

• Perform additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• Typically, 5+ years of hands-on experience in M365 administration and engineering.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Experience in Identity & Access Management within enterprise environments.

• Familiarity with Active Directory, Entra ID, External Identities (B2B), Conditional Access, RBAC, MFA, and identity lifecycle management.

• Experience supporting hybrid identity solutions, including On-Premises Exchange, Entra ID Connect, federation, and synchronization.

• US Citizenship is required.

• Proficiency in PowerShell and scripting for administrative tasks and automation.

• Comprehensive understanding of Microsoft 365 security, compliance, and governance tools, such as Purview, Defender, and DLP.

• Strong knowledge of Exchange Online, Purview, SharePoint Online, Teams administration, and related services.

• Experience with Okta is preferred.

• Microsoft certifications like MS-102, SC-300, SC-100, or AZ-104 are preferred.

• Familiarity with Zero Trust frameworks and modern identity practices is preferred.

• Knowledge of identity governance solutions, including Okta, is preferred.

• Familiarity with endpoint management (Intune) is a plus.

• Experience in creating automation workflows using Graph API or Power Automate is preferred.
