Low Voltage Technician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colorado.

📋 Description

• Execute the pulling, routing, terminating, labeling, and dressing of structured cabling, which includes Cat6/Cat6A and fiber.

• Install IP cameras, connect cables to them, and assist the Lead in bringing the system online.

• Set up access control hardware, including readers, controllers, electric components, and request-to-exit devices.

• Run speaker cabling, mount speakers and amplifiers, and assist with the installation of audio systems.

• Install patch panels, switches, and PoE devices according to specifications.

• Construct cable trays, ladder racks, and pathways as required.

• Test and troubleshoot cable runs under the supervision of the Lead.

• Adhere to the Lead's instructions regarding tasks, sequencing, and quality control.

• Maintain an organized work area, keep tools accounted for, and ensure the job site remains clean.

• Safeguard completed work as well as the work of other trades.

• Comply with site safety protocols, wear the necessary PPE, and utilize ladders and lifts safely.

• Report any safety concerns to the Lead immediately.

• Accompany the Lead to operating Lava Island parks for warranty work, troubleshooting, repairs, and system upgrades.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of one year of hands-on experience in low voltage installation, electrical work, or a related construction field.

• Equivalent vocational training will be taken into consideration.

• Basic knowledge of structured cabling concepts and installation practices.

• Eagerness to learn about IP camera, access control, and commercial audio installation.

• Ability to follow detailed technical instructions from a senior team member.

• Willingness to travel extensively, with stays ranging from multi-day to multi-week at various sites.

• OSHA 10 certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.

• Equipment certifications (scissor lift, forklift, boom lift) are preferred, or the willingness to obtain them.

• Possession of a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• Must successfully pass a background check.

• Capable of working at heights, lifting up to 50 lbs, and performing physical installation tasks on an active construction site.

• BICSI Installer 1 certification, prior experience with IP cameras or access control, and bilingual abilities (English/Spanish) are significant advantages.
