Logistics Solutions Specialist II – Logistics Services

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.

📋 Description

• Oversee logistics strategies, documentation, and compliance for clinical trial projects with growing complexity.

• Assist in the setup, maintenance, and execution of studies.

• Manage a portfolio consisting of 20–40 intricate studies.

• Collaborate with Setup Managers, Strategic Client Managers, Project Managers, Client Services, Sponsors, Contract Research Organizations, carriers, and external partners.

• Address logistics inquiries and concerns from Project Management.

• Evaluate shipping-lane feasibility and propose transit strategies.

• Develop site instructions and Starter Packs in collaboration with selected carriers.

• Formulate logistics and customs compliance strategies and processes.

• Create and implement processes for pro-forma and shipment-specific invoices.

• Manage logistics documentation for the transport of materials and biological specimens across international borders.

• Analyze and explain the performance of international carriers and logistics solutions based on data.

• Uphold processes for daily transactions and ensure the timely movement of products.

• Assist in investigating and implementing corrective/preventive actions for logistics-related Quality Events.

• Take on responsibilities of other roles within the Logistics Team as needed.

⛳️ Requirements

• BS or MS in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field preferred; a combination of relevant education and experience may be accepted in lieu of a formal degree.

• A minimum of 4 years of industry-related logistics experience in managing clinical studies is required.

• Understanding of international supply chain processes, carriers, third-party logistics companies, forwarders, couriers, and transportation performance metrics is essential.

• Capability to operate in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple deliverables concurrently under tight deadlines.

• Excellent communication skills.

• Ability to work autonomously.

• Exceptional multitasking and organizational skills.

• Strong interpersonal skills along with a proactive and positive demeanor.

• Full proficiency in English.

• Strong mathematical skills.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and ERP software.

• Experience in managing complex clinical studies is preferred.

• Experience in leading and mentoring others is preferred.
