Logistic Operations Manager

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take charge of the complete D2C logistics for the Webshop and Amazon in the USA and Canada.

• Oversee daily fulfillment and outbound logistics from order processing to final delivery, encompassing last-mile delivery, returns, and issue resolution.

• Quickly address exceptions to ensure customers do not face operational challenges.

• Play a role in the planning and execution of the overall logistics strategy.

• Manage and expand a multi-3PL network, including ramping up the newly established US operation.

• Be responsible for SLAs, performance evaluations, and capacity planning across logistics partners.

• Act as the primary operational contact for 3PLs and carriers on a daily basis.

• Oversee inbound transportation from factories, including those in China and Vietnam, to regional warehouses.

• Lead the selection of inbound carriers, route design, rate negotiations, and cost-to-serve optimization.

• Coordinate freight bookings, shipping schedules, and handovers to logistics partners.

• Manage customs clearance processes and import documentation.

• Ensure product integrity for devices sensitive to temperature, humidity, and pressure.

• Maintain inventory visibility across warehouses and sales channels.

• Coordinate replenishment efforts to prevent stockouts and excess inventory.

• Define and monitor logistics KPIs, including OTIF, lead time, cost per shipment, and return rate.

• Report logistics KPIs to enable business actions based on them.

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives and collaborate with Manufacturing, Finance, Sales, Quality, and Customer Service.

• Function as an individual contributor without direct reports.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in logistics, fulfillment, or supply chain operations, preferably in D2C or ecommerce and international distribution.

• Proven track record in managing 3PLs, carriers, and cross-border shipments.

• Strong understanding of last-mile delivery, Amazon fulfillment, and fundamentals of international shipping.

• Practical experience with logistics or ERP tools.

• Excellent analytical abilities.

• Proficient in English, both written and spoken.

• Based in the USA.

• Must have authorization to work in the United States.

• Willingness to travel occasionally to warehouses in Switzerland, Germany, the UK, Canada, Australia, and the USA.

• BSc in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience is equally valued.

• Proficiency in Chinese is a plus.

• Experience in logistics for medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or other quality-regulated industries is advantageous.

• Previous experience in establishing logistics operations in a new market is a plus.

• A self-starter who flourishes in a scale-up environment without extensive support.

• Strong focus on execution and meticulous attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple issues concurrently and prioritize effectively under pressure.

• Clear communication, ownership, and a solution-oriented mindset.
