This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +17 more states.
• Design, develop, and sustain scalable internationalized user interface solutions.
• Integrate localization within React components.
• Oversee localization files management.
• Adjust UI and architectural elements while maintaining performance, accessibility, and translation quality.
• Assess and implement tools and technologies that enhance localization workflows, scalability, and developer experience.
• Extract and manage new or updated strings within the UI.
• Coordinate translation initiatives with internal teams and external vendors.
• Address queries from translators.
• Ensure accurate implementation of translations in the front end.
• Validate localized builds across various languages and regions.
• Assist in localization QA and bug-reporting processes.
• Collaborate with engineers and designers to resolve UI, layout, and functional issues related to localization.
• Act as the front-end-focused liaison for product localization.
• Identify, investigate, and resolve internationalization and localization issues throughout the user interface.
• Manage localization readiness for each product release.
• Serve as a bridge between Front-end Engineering, Localization, Design, and other stakeholders.
• Perform additional duties as required.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Computer Science or Engineering.
• 3+ years of professional experience in front-end or software engineering roles.
• 2+ years of experience with React, JavaScript, and CSS.
• Experience in localization engineering, including internationalization, localization, adaptive UI, and responsive design principles.
• Bilingual with strong verbal and written communication skills in English and at least one additional language.
• Proven experience in building component-based, reusable UI components.
• Familiarity with design systems and tools such as Figma and Storybook or similar.
• Basic knowledge of Python, including automation scripting or development workflows.
• Experience with localization workflows, including Computer-Assisted Translation (CAT) tools.
• Understanding of front-end testing frameworks and effective test case development.
• Ability to collaborate across diverse teams and cultures.
• Capability to independently manage projects from initiation to completion.
• Experience thriving in a fast-paced environment while prioritizing tasks and projects.
• Must reside in one of the specified U.S. states.
