Loan Servicing Specialist – Foreclosure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Carolina.

📋 Description

• Oversee foreclosure operations, with a focus on activities leading to and including the First Legal Action.

• Administer mortgage accounts in accordance with state and federal regulations as well as Investor, Insurer, Agency, and company guidelines.

• Ensure that First Legal Actions are finalized within the designated deadlines.

• Identify and address obstacles, requesting extensions for First Legal Actions when necessary.

• Examine foreclosure files to ensure compliance with default timeframes and regulatory requirements.

• Manage foreclosure processes by engaging with mortgagors, attorneys, investors, insurers, trustees, appraisers, and other stakeholders.

• Evaluate attorney performance through the review of proceedings, records, timelines, and system/database activities.

• Follow up on pending requests and calls from both internal and external partners.

• Conduct audits of accounts for expense compliance and ensure accurate application within the system of record.

• Investigate loans with ambiguous payment applications and other related issues.

• Review and respond to audit and quality control inquiries.

• Inform management about litigated and class action issues.

• Analyze assigned portfolios for performance metrics, timelines, characteristics, and foreclosure statuses.

• Manage exception reporting to mitigate risk.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent, or a combination of education and experience.

• More than 3 years of relevant experience in Mortgage Foreclosure, Bankruptcy, and/or Legal.

• Proficient verbal and written communication skills.

• Exceptional attention to detail with the ability to follow strict guidelines and procedures.

• Experience with GSE and Government processes preferred.

• Familiarity with MSP and LoanSphere preferred.

• Working knowledge of Windows, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, and Microsoft Outlook preferred.

• Understanding of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures related to foreclosure.

• Capability to operate under pressure and meet deadlines.

• Ability to work autonomously and complete tasks within established parameters.

• Strong interpersonal abilities.

• Self-motivated and proactive.

• Capacity to juggle multiple tasks and quickly address emerging issues.
