Loan Processor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Evaluate and assess borrowers’ credit, employment, income, and assets prior to submitting loans for underwriting.

• Compile complete loan packages in the correct order for underwriting review.

• Confirm necessary documentation and finalize loan checklists.

• Ensure the application is complete and accurate while identifying potential underwriting issues.

• Prepare loan approval summaries along with Forms 1008 and 1003.

• Liaise with Loan Originators, customers, and Underwriters to gather required documentation.

• Review loans for adherence to mortgage-related regulations and prepare necessary disclosures.

• Acquire property surveys, flood certificates, title commitments, and payoff information.

• Verify vendor orders, invoices, and applicant e-file documentation.

• Oversee the loan pipeline and submit reports within specified turnaround times.

• Assist with the loan setup process.

• Record loan-application communications in the conversation log.

• Train and help supervise new Loan Processors and other processing staff.

• Support closing, secondary marketing, and loan servicing teams with outstanding investor suspense items.

⛳️ Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in residential mortgage processing.

• Familiarity with the Encompass software.

• A working understanding of RESPA regulations and general knowledge of mortgage and consumer lending regulations, including Regulation Z and Regulation B requirements, as well as loan documents, is preferred.

• Proficient in DU, LP, Microsoft Office, and Windows.

• Strong math and analytical abilities.

• Exceptional communication skills.

• Willingness to work flexible hours and overtime as necessary.
