
Live Online Teaching Assistant

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +6 more states.
β’ Assist the Lead Teacher and students during live online class sessions.
β’ Oversee online classrooms, which includes taking attendance, setting assignment due dates, documenting alterations for NCAA courses, and completing Exit Slip recording forms.
β’ Aid in grading student digital submissions.
β’ Provide substitute coverage in the absence of the Lead Teacher.
β’ Offer student support during class hours.
β’ Dispatch correspondence concerning lack of participation, absences, or incomplete assignments upon request.
β’ Gather feedback from participants in Live Online classes through surveys, emails, and phone communications.
β’ Facilitate the resolution of complaints.
β’ Communicate with families, charter partners, homeschool teachers, and other stakeholders under the supervision of Team Lead and Learning Ops.
β’ Address support tickets and inquiries from parents, advisors, sales teams, and instructors.
β’ Assist in uploading PowerPoint learning objectives and lesson materials prior to class.
β’ Record Live Online sessions and ensure completion of recordings.
β’ Support the use of online tools and delivery of Live Online lessons in accordance with Bridgeway Academy standards and best practices.
β’ Supervise breakout rooms and respond to questions in Zoom chat.
β’ Perform additional duties as assigned.
β’ Must reside in Georgia, Mississippi, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas, or West Virginia.
β’ Must be at least 18 years of age.
β’ Minimum high school diploma required; some college experience preferred.
β’ Previous experience working with students is necessary.
β’ Proficiency in using Zoom or a comparable online meeting platform.
β’ Familiarity with some or all Microsoft Suite products: PowerPoint, Teams, Outlook, Word, Excel, and SharePoint.
β’ Ability to effectively utilize Learning Management Systems, preferably Moodle, and learn Edovate LMS.
β’ Experience with technology learning tools is preferred, such as Classkick, Nearpod, Kahoot!, Blooket, Gimkit, Quizziz, and Padlet.
β’ Access to a reliable laptop or desktop with stable internet service.
β’ A dedicated, distraction-free workspace is required.
β’ Capability to multitask on split screens or dual monitors.
β’ Strong independent work habits and problem-solving abilities.
β’ Commitment to customer service and program support.
β’ Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
β’ Skills in conflict and problem resolution.
