Litigation Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Analyze legal responses related to French litigation, disputes, and contentious issues.

• Evaluate the precision, thoroughness, reasoning, and professional integrity of legal responses.

• Spot incorrect legal principles, unsupported conclusions, significant omissions, and analytical deficiencies.

• Compare results from two legal research platforms side by side.

• Assess which response more effectively addresses the fundamental legal question.

• Review aspects of French court procedures, jurisdictional factors, remedies, litigation strategies, and procedural requirements.

• Assess the appropriate application of legal authorities and principles.

• Rate responses according to a standardized rubric.

• Apply evaluation criteria uniformly across assignments.

• Clearly document significant errors and strengths.

• Provide concise written justifications for evaluation choices.

• Conduct reviews autonomously and meet agreed deadlines.

• Uphold confidentiality and adhere to NDA stipulations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience at a law firm; 3+ years is preferred.

• Professional background focusing on litigation, disputes, or contentious practices.

• Primarily law firm experience is essential.

• Candidates currently employed in-house may qualify if they transitioned within the last 2 years after relevant law firm experience.

• Must be qualified to practice in France as an avocat/e.

• Strong understanding of French litigation and procedural law.

• Ability to assess complex legal reasoning accurately and efficiently.

• Native or fluent proficiency in French.

• Excellent written communication skills and a keen attention to legal details.

• Comfortable working independently with structured evaluation criteria.

• Work must be performed without utilizing confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, law firm, institution, or other third party.

• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available for this position.
