Litigation Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Analyze legal responses related to Australian litigation, disputes, and contentious issues.

• Evaluate the accuracy, completeness, reasoning, legal principles, conclusions, and any omissions.

• Compare the outputs generated by two independent legal research systems.

• Identify significant differences in legal analysis and ascertain which response more effectively addresses the legal inquiry.

• Review Australian procedural and substantive law, encompassing court procedures, deadlines, remedies, jurisdictional considerations, and litigation strategies.

• Assess the utilization of authorities, logical flow, assumptions, gaps, pertinent facts, and overall professional credibility.

• Rate responses according to a standardized rubric.

• Document significant errors and strengths with succinct written justifications.

• Conduct reviews autonomously within established deadlines.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in law firms or barristers' chambers; 3+ years preferred.

• Professional experience concentrated on litigation, disputes, contentious practices, or commercial litigation.

• A background primarily in law firms or chambers is essential.

• Candidates currently employed in-house may be considered if they transitioned in-house within the last 2 years after relevant firm or chambers experience.

• Must be qualified to practice in Australia.

• Strong understanding of Australian litigation and procedural law.

• Proven ability to evaluate complex legal reasoning accurately and efficiently.

• Native or fluent English proficiency.

• Excellent written communication skills and a keen attention to legal detail.

• Capable of working independently with structured evaluation criteria.

• Work must be executed without the use of confidential or proprietary information from any employer, client, chambers, institution, or other third party.

• H1-B and STEM OPT support is not available.
