Litigation Compliance Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research, writing, and investigations regarding legal and ethical compliance matters alongside the General Counsel.

• Create standard operating procedures for ethics compliance throughout all stages of litigation across various U.S. states.

• Manage client intake, pre-litigation, litigation, settlement, and IOLTA account processes.

• Draft and modify retainer agreements, standard client communications, demands, termination-of-representation documents, and settlement statements.

• Assess conflicts of interest and prepare conflict waivers.

• Assist in the implementation and revision of internal compliance policies and protocols.

• Conduct audits and provide high-level oversight for case management across a large portfolio of cases.

• Provide advice and audit litigation ethics compliance throughout the firm.

• Monitor key case metrics and escalate concerns to supervising attorneys and management.

• Report directly to the General Counsel and collaborate with attorneys and staff throughout the firm.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.

• Active license to practice law in the state of residence, preferably in a major U.S. state.

• A minimum of 4 years of litigation experience in a reputable law firm.

• At least 2 years of experience focusing on ethics compliance related to litigation.

• Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.

• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Capable of balancing legal compliance with business interests while engaging with stakeholders across the firm.

• Self-motivated and able to work efficiently in a remote environment.

• Preferred: Litigation experience in multiple states, with an understanding of various ethics rules and civil procedure regulations.

• Preferred: Experience in plaintiff-side personal injury litigation.

• Preferred: Familiarity with CRM systems and project management tools.

• Preferred: Strong legal analysis and relationship management skills.

• Preferred: Business-oriented approach.

• Preferred: Proactive problem-solving mindset.

• Bar membership in Arizona is preferred but not mandatory.
