Litigation and Debt Recovery Lawyer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in France.

📋 Description

• Contribute to the assessment of portfolio valuations currently in progress.

• Analyze and update client debtor files during the onboarding process.

• Identify and execute a recovery strategy tailored to each case.

• Engage in negotiations, focusing on amicable resolutions in collaboration with the dedicated amicable recovery team.

• Implement necessary measures to sustain or establish mortgage securities, pledges, liens, and guarantees.

• Oversee external legal counsel and approve their submissions.

• Draft settlement agreements and ensure their proper execution.

• Manage and supervise enforcement proceedings, insolvency cases, and the acquisition of enforceable titles.

• Operate in accordance with the legal framework and ethical standards governing debt recovery practices.

• Oversee and monitor a portfolio of litigation cases.

• Collaborate with a team of approximately 20 individuals, primarily lawyers, reporting directly to the Operations Director.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role.

• Prior experience in a law firm, bailiff's office, or the debt recovery division of a banking institution is preferred.

• Educational background: a four- or five-year university degree in Litigation Law, Banking Law, Corporate Law, or Business Law.

• Strong analytical abilities and legal expertise.

• Excellent negotiation skills.

• Proficiency in English is an advantage.

• Availability: As soon as possible.
